Offering a laid-back lifestyle within 17.5 miles of Downtown Los Angeles, the city is also less than 15 minutes away from top attractions such as Berry Knotts’ Farm in Buena Park and Disneyland Resort in Anaheim.

La Mirada boasts a wide choice of globally-inspired restaurants mostly concentrated along Imperial Highway’s intersections with La Mirada Boulevard and Santa Gertrudes Avenue. Asian cuisine is well represented along La Mirada Boulevard, with sushi rolls and other Japanese eats at Midori 5 and Tokyo Town Sushi, authentic Korean dishes at Chois Teriyaki, and Vietnamese noodle bowls at Pho 45. Highlights around Santa Gertrudes Avenue include sautéed shrimp in green sauce and other Peruvian specialties at Sol Inka, slow-roasted rotisserie chicken in signature Mexican marinade at Juan Pollo, delicious Indian dishes at Curry Hut, and flavorful Lebanese and Mediterranean fare at Mazaya

Along I-5 to the south of La Mirada, Clearman’s North Woods Inn serves mouthwatering steaks, burgers, and seafood in a woodsy space decorated with Tiffany lamps. Nearby Twelve-Sixty Modern Pub and Kitchen is a popular choice for watching live sports while enjoying gastropub eats, cocktails, and craft beer.

Things to Do

La Mirada Community Regional Park extends across 76 acres with beautifully landscaped green spaces and a wide variety of recreational amenities. The park’s Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center features two year-round pools alongside a summertime water park with a lazy river ride. Designed by famed architect William Bell, the 18-hole La Mirada Golf Course is a public facility offering challenging play for golfers of all skill levels. La Mirada Community Regional Park also offers a disc golf course, baseball fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, and a scenic lake.

10-acre Neff Historical Park has more sports facilities, as well as three historic buildings dating back to the 19th century. The buildings here were erected in the 1890s as the headquarters of the McNally family’s sprawling ranch. Guided tours are available of the Neff Home, George House, and Neff Barn on the third Saturday of each month. Other green spaces within La Mirada include five-acre Windermere Park with a playground and a soccer field and 9.5-acre Behringer Park with lighted fields for baseball, softball, and soccer.

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts has been recognized by The Los Angeles Times as one of Southern California’s finest Broadway-style playhouses. This theater hosts a lineup of award-winning plays and musicals, diverse concerts, performances from the La Mirada Symphony, and special events for children and teenagers.
