Anaheim is Orange County’s second-largest city and a major tourist destination with top attractions such as Disneyland Resort. Anaheim is also home to the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks and MLB’s Los Angeles Angels. The city boasts numerous Blue Ribbon and California Distinguished award-winning schools and wide-ranging shopping and dining options. The beautiful beaches of California’s Pacific coastline are just 20 miles away.

Anaheim offers a diverse mix of neighborhoods with eclectic housing options. Anaheim Hills is a luxurious master-planned community in the eastern part of the city, featuring some of the city’s most stunning and sought-after residences. The Historic Colony District has well-preserved homes from the late-19th and early-20th centuries alongside newer apartment complexes and loft conversions. The Anaheim Resort District offers tracts of mid-century single-family homes close to Disneyland Resort. The Platinum Triangle features contemporary apartment buildings and office towers near the home venues of Anaheim’s sports teams.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Anaheim offers an extensive array of shopping and dining options across several large malls and commercial districts. Anaheim Packing District is a major culinary destination with 50 vendors serving artisanal eats from around the globe. The Little Arabia neighborhood features authentic Middle Eastern eateries such as family-run Lebanese bakery Forn Al Hara

On the east side of the city, Anaheim Hills Festival is a stylish open-air shopping mall featuring more than 40 restaurants and retailers. Stores here include Hobby Lobby, Petco, TJ Maxx, and Target. Anaheim Hills Festival also has a 24 Hour Fitness, Orange Theory Fitness, and a 14-screen Edwards Theatres with stadium-style seating. With more than 50 businesses, Anaheim Town Square is East Anaheim’s largest shopping mall. Here, you’ll find brands such as Ross Dress For Less and Target alongside specialty Mexican grocery store Northgate Market. Eateries at Anaheim Town Square include family-friendly Golden Corral and WaBa Grill for nutritious and delicious meals prepared with high-quality ingredients. 

Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney District is packed with restaurants and retailers such as Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes for gourmet takes on classic American comfort eats, Salt & Straw for tasty ice cream scoops, and World of Disney for all kinds of Disney-themed souvenirs, toys, and apparel. Anaheim GardenWalk is another highlight of the Resort District, featuring dozens of restaurants, two nightclubs, numerous entertainment venues, and a concert hall.

Things to Do

Disneyland Resort has delighted generations of Disney fans since it first opened in Anaheim in 1955. This world-famous attraction features two main amusement parks. Disneyland Park is comprised of several themed areas, including Fantasyland with its iconic castle, jungle-style Adventureland, fun-packed Frontierland, futuristic Tomorrowland, and the hugely popular Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Disneyland California Adventure Park offers many more rides and attractions, including Avengers Campus, which opened in 2021. 

Just across the street from Disneyland, the Anaheim Convention Center hosts major expos, conferences, and events. The City National Grove of Anaheim is a concert venue in the Platinum Triangle District that hosts performances from big-name musical acts and Cirque du Soleil. Anaheim’s main sports arenas are also located in the Platinum Triangle District. Angel Stadium is home to the Los Angeles Angels baseball team, as well as huge concerts and the AMA Supercross Championship. The nearby Honda Center hosts the home games of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks as well as music concerts and the Big West Conference’s Men’s and Women’s basketball tournaments.

Anaheim is served by the Anaheim Elementary and Union High School Districts. Many schools within the city have been recognized with National Blue Ribbon and California Distinguished Schools Awards.
